This might be the first time that the NBA will have 7 different champions in 7 consecutive years. I do like the parity now. It felt unfair for other teams when the Warriors were winning all the titles. Like, there was no point in watching anymore because everyone knew that the Warriors going all the way was the foregone conclusion. However, at the same time, as a Laker fan, I’m sad that we probably won’t see a dynasty anytime soon. I was spoiled to think dynasties are just a regular thing, witnessing Kobe/Shaq and Kobe/Pau dominate. Now, the trend might just be 1 happy year winning a championship followed by years of disappointments. And then, when a team finally wins a championship, it will be another “years of disappointments” right after. People might get the idea that just because you don’t have 6 titles like Jordan, you weren’t as good as him. But the context is different now.
